Many years ago, when I was just a small boy, we found a mysterious object washed up on the beach. It was a sort of red and black colour, and looked like a finger, only much, much bigger.
I called over My friends that had huddled together on the beach around the thing, holding our hands up to our faces to shield our eyes from the dazzling sun, talking excitedly about what it could be. Some hours later, after we had all made up stories about the red and black thing we took it up to the village.
We dragged the item that was the size of our table to the village for our new toy. As we made our way slowly over the sandy beach, and the long grass that was at the end of the beach and the start of the fields, a crowd seemed to be gathering.
Women and young children were leaving their houses, young men were leaving tools and ploughs unattended in the fields, and men were stumbling out of a pub, all hurrying with increasing urgency towards us. Then we looked at it again it had legs and arms and, a head. We stop dragging it and then it got up. We slowly backed away so did other people. Then it grew bigger.
It raised its hand and shot a red shiny beam at the village hall. Then everyone ran and hid in dark damp places. But not all, some I saw in horror, were shot as they ran in fear of their life. Me and my friends ran to pick up abandoned tools like axes, pitchforks and spades. Ryder had a spade and Ben had a pitchfork and I had a axe.

We swung and poked at it which did nothing then it shoot two laser beam at Ben’s and Ryder’s weapons then just befor it shoot them I threw my axe at it as hard as I could when the axe hit it the axe split the thing in half. Then all the people came out of there hiding places and other the years stories were told about how the village was under a tack.
